I recently visited Battery Park and had the most amazing day! The sun was shining and everyone was out and about. We walked along the water and saw the Statue of Liberty, but my absolute favorite part of the entire day was when we went to the Seaglass Carousel! This 2,575 square foot pavilion is located at the southern end of the park and is totally unique. It lacks the center pole that is typically in a traditional carousel and instead has four different turntables. The rider has their pick of 30 different massive fiberglass fish to sit within. Each fish is internally illuminated with color changing light fixtures, and as the carousel begins to spin beautiful music starts to play! As a matter of fact, the George Tsypin Opera Factory specifically created a soundtrack for the carousel to resemble a mystical underwater experience. It was magical! The entire Seaglass Carousel creates a 360 aquatic adventure – I felt like the Little Mermaid, lol!
My two piece set is from Show Po and it was the perfect light weight outfit for the hot sunny day! The shorts have a comfortable elastic waist and the tie front short sleeve top is so flattering. I love that I can dress it up or down, not to mention the blue floral pattern was perfect for my little underwater excursion haha! For accessories I kept it simple with my Tory Burch millers (no joke I wear them 24/7, they go with everything!) and my Louis crossbody. I also wore my Ray Ban Aviators – they are just SO classic – and my little NJ state opal choker.
